Bob Hajek is a Partner in TechCXO’s Executive Operations practice.  He is an experienced strategic and operational leader who assists organizations in problem-solving and implementing ideal approaches to enhance their performance and attain their goals.  Bob has been successfully scaling Healthcare and Life Sciences companies from early-stage to the middle market for 30 years.  He is called on by Boards, investors, senior leadership teams, and entrepreneurs to assist them as an interim and fractional Chief Executive OfficerChief Operating Officer, and Chief Product Officer.

With expertise across Healthcare Providers and Payers, Medical, and Biotechnology, and Pharmaceutical companies, Bob has successfully guided three, PE-backed consolidations (new entities formed ranging from $300M – $11B), 10+ acquisitions (companies ranging from $10M – $60M ARR), and two successful exits in which he managed valuation, due diligence, and the closing thru exit.

During his distinguished career, Bob has served in the following roles:

Chief Operating Officer, Nurse First Travel Agency – For this hyper-growth startup clinical staffing company, Bob led strategy, operations management, leadership development, and prepared the company for equity financing.  He developed the strategic 1-3-5-year business plan that set the company on a rapid organic growth revenue trajectory, while recovering the costs incurred during the launch.   Moving the company toward a focus on profitability metrics, he implemented the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) along with long-established management and organizational operating models; TQM (Total Quality Management) emphasizing continuous improvement and customer satisfaction, MBO (Management by Objectives) aligning performance management with organizational goals, and Lean Management eliminating waste, streamlining processes, and increasing efficiency. Bob also developed leadership teams across finance, human capital, customer success, and sales, along with a staff of 135 nurses.

CEO, Zeteo Partners – As owner and managing partner of this consulting firm, Bob drove the key success metrics of profitability, utilization rates, client acquisition and retention, average project value, and thought leadership.  As a consultant and advisor to leading Health Systems, Payers, CROs, Biotech, software and services companies, Bob led complex digital transformation initiatives in the areas of; EHR Analytics (Epic, Cerner), Patient Engagement, Precision Medicine, Population Health, Integrated Care, Data Management, Value Based Care, Financial Improvement, and Clinical Trial Management Systems.

VP, Product Management and Business Development, RLDatix – RLDatix is a patient safety and quality improvement software company within a Private Equity healthcare portfolio controlled by Five Arrows, TA Associates and Nordic Capital as major shareholders.  As a post-acquisition integration product leader, Bob restructured business operations, regional growth expansion models, customer success, and sales integration to align products within the global platform and define a business roadmap.

Bob also held corporate positions leading business units, product direction, management consulting, and sales within Infor, and Leidos.   Early in his career, Bob was an entrepreneur where he acquired, grew, and structured the buyout of his GMP Pharmaceutical process systems company, Advanced Industrial Design.  

He received his Business Administration and Management degree from Loyola University Chicago Quinlan School of Business, and has certifications in Product Design Thinking from MIT Sloan School of Management.
