Dan Owens brings over 25 years of experience in management and leadership with a focus on propelling companies to the next level in their growth strategy. He has worked for several companies – public, private, large enterprises and small startups.
Positions held include Chief Technology Officer at multiple companies, VP of Software Development, Director of Engineering, and more. His areas of expertise include Software Product Development, Development Team Assessment and Improvement, Mobile and Web Software Development, Agile Dev Processes, Cloud Deployment and Cloud Migrations. He has expertise in Healthcare, Telecommunications, Content Delivery Systems, and Enterprise Applications. He has led software development teams as small as 3 including himself to 75+ in multiple remote locations. Dan has spearheaded multiple large digital transformation projects that have fundamentally changed the growth strategy of the companies he’s worked with.
Dan helps companies identify the best strategy for innovation, to reduce inefficiencies, and transform their digital processes for optimum results. In addition, he has helped identify and reduce unnecessary IT spending, helped identify and nurture top talent, and harness relevant technologies so that companies can make the most of their data, products and services.
Dan has also established a juvenile justice-focused NGO in Uganda with his wife in 2010 and enjoys visiting East Africa as often as life allows.
