Bill Keneally is Partner – Finance, Strategy & Operations
Bill Keneally is an accomplished finance executive and trusted business adviser. He primarily serves Midwest and Minnesota-based clients as a fractional or interim CFO/COO. Bill has significant and diverse international management, financial and operating experience, and proven abilities in strategy, acquisitions, divestitures, valuations, analysis, restructuring, IPO, financial and operating systems, taxation, treasury, corporate finance and accounting.
Bill helps organizations quickly create substantial value by:
- concurrently increasing sales and working capital,
- upgrading and developing processes, systems and teams,
- completing and integrating acquisitions,
- leading debt and equity financings,
- directing investor relations and
- coordinating exit transactions.
He is also recognized for his organization, leadership and communication skills and effectiveness at building and leading highly motivated and results-orientated finance teams, which partner with all parts of an organization so to maximize its success.
His distinguished career includes serving as Vice President & Corporate Controller for Carson Wagonlit Travel, a global leader specialized in managing business travel and meetings and events. Bill was responsible for effectively and efficiently re-engineering the CWT global finance function delivering more timely and in-depth financial reporting, greater internal controls, expanded and improved outsourced transaction processing, discovery and settlement of various tax and treasury exposures, selection of the new systems vendors and a full road map for new the financial system and organization.
Bill Keneally also served as COO for CrossBay Capital Partners, a boutique placement agent raising capital over the past ten years for established alternative investment managers. As COO, he was responsible for all of the internal operations of the firm including strategic planning, investment product management, compliance, finance, technology and human resources.
In addition, Bill was CFO for CTPartners (CTP on the NYSE since December 2010). CTPartners was a leading provider of global retained executive search services to clients across all industries. As CFO, through a team of 45 staff, responsible for the company’s financial planning, analysis, reporting and control including investor relations, treasury, tax and SEC and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. He also served as CFO for GTA, ultimately majority-owned and managed by the Blackstone Group through Travelport, is a leading global wholesaler of accommodation, ground travel, sightseeing and other destination services. Bill was also SVP, Finance & Controller for Elizabeth Arden; SVP, Chief Accounting Officer and Controller for Covanta Energy and Partner and Managing Director – Hospitality and Leisure Real Estate Services for BDO LLP.
Most recently, Bill was a Business Strategy, Process and Financial Advisor for Educate, which helps teachers elevate learning by making the most of technology they already have. Educate has coached more than 200 schools since its founding. He began his career with Arthur Andersen.
Bill holds a Bachelor of Business Administration – Accounting Concentration from the University of Notre Dame.
