Elena Carroll is a TechCXO Partner and a leading strategic, product and operational executive within the FinTech and Big Data industries.

She helps growing enterprises to scale their business operations, as well as develop and execute data monetization strategies that achieve organic revenue growth. She does this as a strategic advisor, consultant and, in some instances, as an interim or fractional Chief Operating Officer and Chief Product Officer.

Elena’s expertise can be applied across all segments of FinTech, including:

Payments – Payments processing, card issuers, billing and cross-border.
Lending – Marketplace lending and alternative underwriting platforms, as well as startups disrupting point-of-sale lending.
Investing – Sales and trading platforms for financial institutions, robo-advisors, digital investment and wealth management platforms and FinTechs emerging as the client primary financial partner.
Insure-tech – Digital insurance sales and analytics software for insurers/re-insurers and advanced analytics, machine learning and Internet of Things for emerging players disrupting the insurance value chain.

As a strategic thinker, planner and builder of operations, products and platforms, Elena brings a broad, cross-functional perspective to any situation to develop strategy and execute on it flawlessly. She is proficient at working with data scientists to democratize and productize solutions that meet client needs.

During her distinguished career, Elena held Senior Vice President roles at Mastercard since 2014. These included leadership roles in strategy, operations and marketing in the data analytics and consulting services business at Mastercard. She played an instrumental role in the business turnaround, growing revenues at a 25%+ CAGR through organic growth and inorganically via acquisition integrations to realize synergies. More broadly across Mastercard, Elena made significant contributions in the digital transformation of its go-to-market strategy and operating model across international markets.

Before joining Mastercard, Ms. Carroll ran a digital content marketing and e-commerce business at Gartner, Inc., a technology research and advisory firm. Prior to Gartner, Elena built a solid foundation in financial services, working at JP Morgan Chase and American Express in various product management and digital marketing roles.

Elena received her BBA in Marketing from University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an MBA in Marketing & General Management from New York University’s Stern School of Business. She has also completed the Business Marketing Strategy program at Kellogg Executive Education.
