TechCXO Veteran Finance & Operations Executive Viraj Parikh and Sales Executive Eddie Birchfield Help Meet Need for On-Demand Tech Execs in Middle Tennessee
TechCXO®, the leading provider of on-demand executives for technology companies, today announced that veteran finance and operations executive Viraj Parikh will join the firm’s new Nashville office as its Managing Partner. Mr. Parikh joins TechCXO Partner for Strategy, Sales and Marketing, Eddie Birchfield. The office is located in Belle Meade at E|SPACES, a popular co-working space for startups and executives.

Mr. Birchfield has completed projects for Aegis Health Group, ARx Healthcare, digiChart, EnduraCare AcuteCare, Medarchon, Medaxion, MindCare Solutions, NuScriptsRV, onFocus Healtcare/MedeAnalytics and Vatica Health. Viraj is currently engaged as the CFO of two promising health care SaaS companies – iScribeHealth and EvidenceCare – as well as music technology and e-commerce companies Soundstripe and 85 Supply.
Viraj Parikh is a technology CFO/strategic finance consultant with over 20 years of experience as a Chief Financial Officer, Financial Planning & Analysis Director, investment portfolio manager and analyst, Big 6 accountant and board director. His finance, operating and investment experience span sectors as diverse as Software/SaaS, Health Care, Education Finance and Real Estate.
Prior to TechCXO, Viraj founded Vailwood Capital & Advisory to provide CFO-level services. Among his clients were San Francisco-based meal subscription and technology company Thistle, where he served as their CFO while helping grow their revenues by 5x to nearly $15 million, achieving profitability, and expanding their addressable market from the Bay Area to the entire state of California.
Prior to Vailwood, Viraj was CFO of LEAD Public Schools, where he led real estate and technology strategy for Nashville’s largest charter school network, and Director of FP&A at Edgenet, a private equity owned Nashville enterprise SaaS firm. He was also a board director at Valor Collegiate Academy, assisting Tennessee’s #1 academic charter school in its finance and real estate acquisition strategy.
Prior to 2013, Viraj worked for 15 years as a Wall Street portfolio manager and analyst, including at Citi, Schroders and various hedge funds. He began his professional career at Big 6 accounting and consulting firm Arthur Andersen, in their San Francisco office.
Eddie Birchfield has a sales effectiveness/sales productivity practice focused on working with healthcare services and healthcare IT companies, the majority of which are venture capital portfolio companies for their sales, marketing and business development needs.
Eddie focuses on helping companies develop and implement approach-to-market sales strategies and sales and marketing effectiveness programs that drive profitable growth. His areas of focus include sales strategy, customer segmentation, channel strategy, sales organization design and deployment, performance management, incentive compensation including lead generation and inside sales utilization. He is a sought after speaker and has written extensively on sales and marketing topics and has been published in a number of publications.
Prior to joining TechCXO, he was the co-founder of SalesGlobe and The Sales Leadership Forum. Eddie was also founder of Atlantis Partners, which assisted emerging growth firms with the formation of business, sales and marketing plans, strategic alliances and joint ventures.
Eddie co-founded ADTRAN, Inc. (NASDAQ – ADTN), a designer and manufacturer of communication equipment. Under his leadership, ADTRAN’s sales organization grew to more than $150 million. ADTRAN was recognized by Inc. magazine as one of the “500 Fastest Growing Private Companies in the United States.”
He has served on the Board of the American Cancer Society, Hospice, Habitat for Humanity, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and Rotary International.
