Jonathan Clardy is a CPA and finance executive with more than 15 years of experience supporting private equity-backed, venture-backed, and founder-led companies through periods of growth, transition, and heightened financial scrutiny. He specializes in stepping into underbuilt or disrupted finance environments and providing hands-on leadership across accounting, reporting, and financial operations.
Jonathan’s background spans public accounting, corporate controllership, and interim finance leadership. Prior to consulting, he served as VP Corporate Controller for a global industrial distributor, where he led a U.S. GAAP conversion, executed the company’s first Big Four audit, built multi-ERP consolidation and reporting infrastructure, and supported acquisition integration and lender covenant reporting. Earlier, he held senior accounting leadership roles at a high-growth digital portfolio company and spent over a decade at PwC, progressing to Assurance Director in the Private Company Services practice.
His expertise includes technical accounting under U.S. GAAP, audit and lender coordination, FP&A and cash flow forecasting, complex revenue recognition, equity and valuation-related accounting, and transaction and audit readiness. Jonathan is known for his calm, disciplined approach and his ability to translate accounting complexity into clear, defensible decisions for management, boards, auditors, and investors.
