Marty vanZwietering is a CTO with an unusually commercial view of technology: what matters is what it does for the business.
His career reflects that, with results spanning revenue growth, customer acquisition and conversion, fraud reduction, cost savings, and digital businesses operating at significant scale. Behind those results is the technology work: the architecture, platforms, products, and teams required to deliver them.
Companies bring Marty in when a growth channel has outgrown its platform, a modernization effort has stalled, a board or investor needs a clear view of the technology and its risks, or leadership needs an experienced operator to define the technology roadmap and turn it into business performance.
For more than 15 years in financial services, fintech, e-commerce, and consumer businesses, Marty has moved between technology strategy, product development, architecture, and execution. He has built and led engineering organizations of more than 50 people, managed technology budgets of $25 million, and operated in environments ranging from high-growth digital commerce to banks with more than $700 billion in assets.
