Amanda Donnelly is a fractional Chief Marketing Officer and growth executive with 25 years of experience helping organizations navigate leadership transitions, strengthen go-to-market execution, and build marketing functions capable of scaling.
She is most often engaged by CEOs, boards, investors, and executive teams when a company needs senior marketing leadership but is not yet ready for, or does not require, a full-time CMO. Amanda steps into complex environments to identify the barriers limiting growth, clarify priorities, and build the strategy, team, systems, and accountability needed to connect marketing more directly to revenue.
Her work spans growth and go-to-market strategy, demand generation, product marketing, customer acquisition, organizational design, CRM and pipeline development, agency selection, and executive team leadership. She is equally comfortable developing the strategy, restructuring the function, coaching internal leaders, and working alongside teams to turn plans into action.
Since joining TechCXO, Amanda has served as a fractional CMO, fractional SVP of Marketing, Chief of Staff, and strategic advisor to companies across technology and vertical SaaS, business services, consumer and retail, and B2B physical products. Her engagements have included bridging executive leadership gaps, building and reorganizing marketing teams, developing permanent marketing leaders, creating demand-generation and pipeline programs, improving performance marketing, leading agency searches, launching new products and platforms, and facilitating company-wide growth priorities.
Amanda’s fractional work includes a four-year engagement with Latitude Legal, where she initially stepped in to bridge a marketing leadership gap, recruited and developed the permanent marketing organization, helped generate three times more marketing-sourced leads, and later transitioned into a Chief of Staff role supporting broader company growth objectives. She has also advised Ministry Brands, Insignia Group, HeroWear, Signature Championship Rings, Sara Sells, and other growth-stage and middle-market organizations.
Before joining TechCXO, Amanda founded and operated her own fractional CMO practice. Her earlier career includes senior leadership roles at Preemptive Love, Eventbrite, Nissan North America, IGN Entertainment, The Huffington Post, Deutsch, Moxie Interactive, and Ant Farm Interactive. She has led marketing for organizations ranging from startups and founder-led companies to global enterprises and publicly traded businesses.
Amanda is known for bringing clarity and structure to complicated environments. She combines the strategic perspective of an experienced CMO with the practical operating mindset required to build teams, improve execution, and create lasting internal capability. Her goal is not simply to provide recommendations, but to leave each company with stronger leadership, better systems, and a marketing function equipped to perform after her engagement ends.
