Lori is currently a Carolinas CFO Partner with TechCXO LLC, a national fractional C-Suite contracting firm based in Atlanta, GA. Lori brings more than 25 years of financial and operational leadership with a proven track record of execution, having served as CFO in life science / pharmaceutical / drug development / medical device companies. Many of Lori’s client companies have been long-term engagements where she oversees financial, tax, cash management, budgetary and audit aspects of the business.
Lori has extensive experience in startup incorporation, corporate funding, IP licensing & transfer, business planning and rapid early stage growth management. Additionally, Lori has unique experience with compliance in federal funding (Federal contracts and SBIR/STTR grants). In 2018, Lori successfully led the exit side of the $220m acquisition by Stryker of HyperBranch Medical Technology, a VC-backed company that she has helped grow since joining in 2006.
Prior to her work as a consultant, Lori worked in industry finance roles for ~15 years with several well-established, privately held organizations in the Raleigh-Durham area in the areas of manufacturing, professional services and medical device. Lori holds a BA from North Carolina State University and is a North Carolina Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and will complete the MBA program at NCSU Poole College of Management in the Spring of 2020.
Personally, Lori lives in Raleigh with her family and loves to attend NCSU and Carolina Hurricanes games, do CrossFit and travel (particularly to places where snow skiing is a challenge). She is active in the local hockey community where she serves in a volunteer role as VP of Finance for the Carolina Junior Hurricanes Hockey Association, the NHL youth affiliate and a 550 member 501(c)(3) organization.
