How Does
Offshoring Work?

Reduce costs and increase profits without compromise.
All while accessing a deeper, wider talent pool.

/ Why Offshore / Reduce Cost

Offshoring is a type of outsourcing where you create an extension of your business or
team in another country. There are a few traditional models of offshoring, but here at MicroSourcing,
we provide a unique solution called ‘managed operations’.

With the rapid increase in globalization over the last decade, coupled with tremendous advancements in information technology, businesses are having to work smarter than ever to stay competitive and grow profits.

By partnering with MicroSourcing, you can improve efficiency and service quality, while saving up to 70% on labor and operating costs.

If you get it right, you can bring on the talent you need to move forward, at up to 70% less than you’d pay in the US or Australia. And with no additional up-front investment.

That leaves you free to invest the difference where you can achieve the greatest return—maximizing your core offering through product research, innovation, marketing, increased production, business growth and market expansion.

STEP 1

Tell us about the team, IT and infrastructure you need

First of all, we’ll talk about your business, your goals and your objectives. Then we’ll be able to confirm whether our offshoring model is viable for what you want to achieve. We’ll let you know if it’s possible and if it’s going to work for your business – and if not, we’ll recommend an alternative offshore staffing solution.

If managed operations is right for you, we’ll help you create some job descriptions for the first roles you want to fill, and pass these over to our recruitment team. We’ll then have a discussion with you about your IT and infrastructure requirements – hardware, software, specific tools, email platform, file sharing method, communication tools and so on – as well as considerations like working hours and shifts. That way, you know exactly what to expect with managing your offshore teams.

Finally, we’ll come back to you with a transparent, fully itemized cost sheet. This will allow you to start making clear business decisions based on your strategy, the potential savings, and your timeline for transitioning to offshore.

IMPORTANT: Our cost sheet will include itemized costs for talent, separate from our fixed monthly service fee. This is important, because it ensures you know exactly what you’re paying for your staff. Some providers offer ‘all-inclusive’ pricing, which bundles both staff costs and the provider’s fee. The problem with this approach is that you don’t know what they’re actually paying your staff, and in order to increase their margin, they’re effectively incentivized to cut staff costs. Naturally this means you won’t get the quality of talent you need.

STEP 2

We recruit & employ your team, and get them set up

Next we use your job descriptions to find suitable candidates from the local market and our database of more than 200,000 applicants.

We then present our shortlist to you so you can choose the staff that best suit your business, company culture and individual team dynamics. Naturally, you can screen and interview the candidates, exactly as you would when hiring local staff.

Once you’ve selected the right people for your team, we employ them and set them up within our modern, state-of-the-art office facilities, including:

  • Infrastructure requirements (office space, managers offices, partitions, etc.)
  • Software tools (licenses, remote system access, etc.)
  • Infrastructure requirements (office space, managers offices, partitions, etc.)
  • Security (access control, lockers, paperless office, etc.)
